Jen Penglase-Prior’s contemporary inspired abstract work has been acclaimed as so revolutionary in its application that it redefines the boundaries of original pastel artwork.

Self taught, her trademark work enjoys a loyal and enthusiastic following around the globe. It has found its way into many private collections throughout Australia and internationally.

Optically alluring & distinctly original, each piece requires up to 12 layers of pastel to create a unique effect which results in the work pulsating with colour and compelling opinion.

Regularly commissioned by individuals, architects and designers wishing to secure a single striking piece or an entire custom-created collection, her work ranges in size from small to oversize [maximum length 3000mm].

Irongate Studio Gallery is the working Studio/gallery of multi award winning contemporary artist Jen Penglase-Prior.

The elegant contemporary inspired interior of the gallery features a stunning range of Jen’s distinctly unique original and Limited Edition work in addition to an impressive display of glass, sculpture and ceramics by some of South Australia’s most talented artisans.

Set in the popular Heritage Listed township of Mintaro in South Australia’s magnificent Clare Valley, Irongate is a modern artistic oasis set among the many unique cellar doors, restaurants and celebrated landmarks in this renowned winemaking region.
